LARGO. Fla. – On Tuesday at 6:54 pm, the Largo Police Department responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash at the intersection of Missouri Ave and Auburn St.
A female pedestrian was crossing westbound at the red light when she was struck by a vehicle. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she died from injuries sustained in the crash,
Police say, the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
The Largo Police Departments Traffic Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and are currently investigating the crash say that alcohol does appear to be a factor with the pedestrian, but not the driver of the vehicle.
