Democrats, Ever Hungry For Trump’s Tax Returns, Fight To Deny Him A Rebate

When it comes to Trump and taxes, Democrats want it both ways.

They seek every avenue, at the state and federal levels, to force the release of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

The Biden Justice Department confirmed this last week by ruling that the Treasury Department must comply with congressional demands for peeks at the 45th president’s records – which have already been twice leaked by officials to the media.

On the other hand, when the government errs in Trump’s favor, Democrats don’t want to pay up.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board ruled in June that Trump was owed $1.03 million.

The Cook County Board of Review had overestimated the value of Trump’s Chicago skyscraper back in 2011.

The Sun-Times reports that Trump had argued he was overbilled because the vacant retail outlets in his building had no real value because he had never enlisted any tenants.

The state disagreed and charged him anyway.

But in June the tax appellate board voted unanimously to grant Trump the refund.

But now, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, a radical Democrat who is backed by George Soros, has appealed the decision to a state appellate court.

The Sun-Times noted that the bulk of the money – $540,000 – would come the coffers of the public school system. The rest would come from seven other city agencies.

  1. It’s all very simple and crystal clear. For years Trump accused Obama of hiding something by not releasing his birth certificate. What is Trump hiding by refusing to release his tax returns? Clearly he IS hiding something.
