Dental records confirmed that the human remains recovered at the Florida environmental park are of Brian Laundrie, the FBI said on Thursday.
FBI’s Denver field office released a statement saying that “a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park” were of Laundrie.
The Laundrie’s family attorney released a statement from Brian’s parents, Chris and Roberta, saying that they “have been informed” of the FBI’s determination that the remains were indeed of their son.
“We have no further comment at this time and we ask that your respect the Laundrie’s privacy at this time,” the statement from attorney Steven Bertolino said.
The cause of death for Laundrie is not yet clear.
