Inmate In Florida Who Escaped Work Release Now In Custody

An inmate who escaped work release and was on the run for nearly five days has been captured in Hillsborough County.

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – An inmate who escaped work release and was on the run for nearly five days has been captured in Hillsborough County, according to deputies.

In a media release Tuesday, Pasco Sheriff’s Office said, “Carlson has been located in Hillsborough County.”

Pasco Sheriff’s deputies were assisting Tarpon Springs Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office with searching for Patrick Carlson, a 31-year-old inmate who escaped from a work release program in Tarpon Springs.

Carlson was last seen on Friday, April 21, around 4 p.m., in the Mandarin Dr. area of Tarpon Springs, and it is believed Carlson may have fled northbound on foot or bicycle into the Anclote area of Pasco County.
