Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Detectives are investigating a homicide after the body of a woman was discovered in a remote desert area east of Kingman.
On September 5, 2025, Deputies responded to a wash near Windmill Ranch Rd. following a report from a property owner who had located a large, suspicious cardboard box. The reporting party believed the box contained a deceased person and alerted law enforcement.
An additional subject at the scene reported having observed a vehicle with an open trunk near the wash the night before, though due to darkness, they were unable to identify the vehicle.
Victim Identified, Las Vegas Connection Confirmed
Detectives confirmed the contents of the box and identified the deceased female through fingerprints as Carolyn Ann Bosher, 57, a transient from Las Vegas.
MCSO Detectives subsequently contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) and learned that Bosher had been arrested by their agency on charges of Indecent Exposure on August 30, six days prior to her body being found.
Investigation Ongoing
The investigation is active, and MCSO is currently collaborating with LVMPD. Authorities have stated that there was nothing located at the scene to indicate that Bosher was killed at the desert location.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information related to this incident to contact their agency at 928-753-0753 and reference DR# 25-033587.
