TAMPA, Fla. – The State Attorney’s Office will file criminal charges against Detroit Lions player Terrion Arnold following his arrest in Hillsborough County. Arnold, 23, turned himself in at the Orient Road Jail on Wednesday night in connection with a February armed robbery and kidnapping incident in Tampa. He faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, charges that carry a potential maximum penalty of life in prison.
According to police and prosecution records, the incident stems from a targeted armed robbery on February 4, 2026, at an apartment complex in the 14000 block of N. 46th St. Investigators identified Arnold as the primary conspirator behind the attack, which left three adult male victims in their late teens with visible injuries from being held at gunpoint, beaten, and pistol-whipped.
The investigation revealed that Arnold had been renting an Airbnb in Largo, where he stayed periodically with several friends and co-defendants. On February 1, multiple items belonging to Arnold and others were stolen from the rental property. Believing two of the victims were responsible for the theft, Arnold and another man, Boakai Hilton Jr., allegedly launched a retaliation plan. Tampa Police later determined the victims had no involvement in the original theft.
On February 3, Arnold and his associates reported a property loss totaling more than $250,000 to the Largo Police Department. Hours later, investigators say Arnold and Hilton directed co-defendants Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo to contact one of the victims and lure him to a Tampa apartment.
When the three victims arrived around midnight on February 4, two other men—Christion Williams and Lyndell Hudson II—were hiding inside a bedroom closet. Police say Williams and Hudson ambushed the victims at gunpoint and beat them. Del Valle streamed the incident live to Arnold, Hilton, and Freddie Hughes while they were traveling to the apartment. Investigators also uncovered a group text chat where Arnold and Hilton reportedly messaged real-time directions to the attackers inside the residence during the assault.
Arnold, Hilton, and Hughes arrived at the apartment roughly an hour later. Prosecutors state Arnold ordered the group inside, where the assault continued and personal property was stolen from the victims by Hughes, Hudson, and Williams. Around 1:40 a.m., the victims were escorted out by the armed suspects, forced into their own vehicle, and ordered to leave. Arnold then drove away from the scene with Del Valle, Williams, and another individual in his own car.
The victims reported the attack to the Tampa Police Department and positively identified their assailants. Between February 4 and March 21, police arrested six other individuals involved in the incident.
On Wednesday, June 24, co-defendants Arianna Del Valle, 19, and Jasmine Randazzo, 19, both entered guilty pleas for their roles during a court hearing. Randazzo was sentenced to four years in Florida State Prison followed by six years of probation, while Del Valle entered an open plea with sentencing scheduled for a later date. As part of their plea agreements, both women are required to testify truthfully in any future court proceedings related to the case.
The other four co-defendants—Hilton, Hudson, Hughes, and Williams—are currently being held behind bars without bond.
State Attorney Suzy Lopez released a statement regarding the case on Wednesday.
“No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors. We will continue to pursue justice for the three victims by holding everyone accountable for their roles in this crime,” Lopez said.
The State Attorney’s Office announced plans to file a pretrial detention motion to keep Arnold jailed until his trial, arguing that he remains a danger to the community. A hearing date for that motion has not yet been set. At the time of publication, Arnold’s booking photo was not available.
Arnold turned himself in and was taken into custody at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County on Wednesday night. He is facing 4 counts of kidnapping and 4 counts of armed robbery.
