One of the most challenging conversations we face is the “candid conversation;” those times when we finally have to address some unpleasant issues that we can no longer put off or pretend we had not seen. It can be an HR minefield in the work environment. It can cause undue stress and fractionalization of a volunteer organization! When it comes to interpersonal relationships, candid conversations can cause serious and sometimes permanent rifts.

Join Toastmaster Robyn Featherston for “The Art of the Candid Conversation” on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Zoom. This workshop is free and open to the general public.

This workshop is designed to engage participants in candid, respectful conversations that result in stronger interpersonal relationships and greater team effectiveness. During this 2-hour workshop, we will discuss the process of setting up a candid conversation in a manner which establishes respect, fosters cooperation, and obtains agreement on desired outcomes. Workshop participants will also practice having candid conversations in this Toastmasters-prepared workshop.
