Digital Predator Behind The Blackboard: Florida Private School Teacher Arrested On 50+ Counts

A 34-year-old math teacher and athletic coach from a Jacksonville private school is behind bars this week, facing more than 50 criminal charges after a digital investigation uncovered a pattern of harassment against a child.

Johnny Robinson III, an employee at Temple Christian Academy, was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He is currently being held at the Clay County Jail with a bond set at over $375,000.

The case began in December 2025 when a 12-year-old girl approached a School Resource Officer. She reported that she was receiving a constant stream of sexually explicit messages and images from an unknown source.

According to investigators from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Robinson allegedly gained the girl’s trust by posing as a fellow student. To make the ruse more believable, he reportedly named several of her real-life friends and classmates during their conversations.

Authorities say Robinson utilized Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology to mask his identity. This allowed him to generate multiple phone numbers via the internet.

Each time the victim tried to block a number to stop the harassment, Robinson would simply switch to a new one and continue. This cycle of digital stalking allegedly persisted from November 2025 through January 2026.

Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit eventually traced the digital activity back to Robinson’s personal devices.

While he was initially arrested for the transmission of harmful material to a minor and the unlawful use of a communication device, the legal situation escalated on April 16. Following a forensic sweep of Robinson’s cell phone, authorities added dozens of new charges after discovering child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the device.

Temple Christian Academy moved quickly to distance itself from the former staff member, confirming his immediate termination.

In a public statement, the school noted: “Late Wednesday evening, we were notified that one of our teachers had been arrested. As a result, their employment with our school has been terminated… The situation is now in the hands of the proper authorities.”

School officials added that they have been assured by investigators that none of the current allegations involve students enrolled at their academy.
