Digital Trail Leads To Handcuffs For Illegal Immigrant In Florida Child Exploitation Sting

A 32-year-old Brazilian man is behind bars today following a months-long digital investigation into the distribution of illegal content. Jhonatan Marcello Tulio was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on three felony charges, including two counts of possession and one count of transmission of child sexual abuse material.

The case against Tulio began in November 2025. According to investigators, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged a cybertip involving a user uploading illicit files across several instant-messaging platforms.

FDLE agents tracked those accounts back to Tulio, linking him to the ownership and operation of the digital profiles in question.

The investigation reached its peak on March 12, when FDLE’s Cybercrime Task Force and Special Operations Team arrived at Tulio’s home in Ocoee.

Armed with a search warrant, agents searched the residence and seized an electronic device for forensic analysis. This operation was part of a broader, statewide initiative by the FDLE specifically designed to hunt down and arrest individuals sharing child sexual abuse materials online.

Following the search, Tulio was taken into custody and booked into the Orange County Jail. In addition to the criminal charges, officials confirmed he is being held on an immigration detainer pending removal proceedings. The case has been turned over to the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
