SARASOTA, Fla. – Deputies responded to a shooting at the Lowe’s Home Improvement located at 4020 Central Sarasota Parkway on February 2. According to investigators, the shooting was an isolated domestic incident and did not involve any other members of the public.
The suspect involved in the shooting fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. However, following a brief search of the area, deputies located the individual and took them into custody. No other injuries were reported, and officials stated there is currently no ongoing threat to the community.

The victim was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital to receive treatment for injuries. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
The Sheriff’s Office has classified this as an ongoing investigation. Authorities have indicated that more details regarding the circumstances and potential charges will be released as they become available.
