Ex-Boyfriend Killed in Domestic Incident; Suspect Apprehended at Nearby Parking Lot
A 32-year-old Stafford woman has been charged with second-degree murder following a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday, July 19. The incident, which authorities are calling domestic-related, resulted in the death of her 31-year-old ex-boyfriend.
Deputies responded to a “person shot” report at approximately 12:40 p.m. on July 19 after receiving a call from a woman who stated she believed she had shot and killed her ex-boyfriend.

The caller, later identified as Ashlynn Blair, informed authorities she was awaiting deputies at the Giant parking lot, located at 550 Celebrate Virginia Parkway.
Simultaneously, other deputies arrived at the residence on Rocky Run Road, where the shooting reportedly took place. There, they discovered a 31-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Deputies made contact with Blair at the Giant parking lot and detained her. The firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was found in her possession at the time of her detainment.
Following an investigation, law enforcement confirmed the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute. Ashlynn Blair has been charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She is currently being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
