Don’t Get Left Out: Plant City Voter Registration Deadline Hits Today

PLANT CITY, Fla. – Residents of Plant City have until the end of the day to ensure they are eligible to participate in the upcoming local election. Today, April 27, is the official voter registration deadline for the 2026 Plant City Municipal Runoff.

Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer issued a reminder that only registered voters living within the city boundaries are eligible for this specific runoff. While current Florida voters can update their name or address at any time before voting, new registrations must be submitted today to meet the cutoff.

Election officials have outlined three primary methods for residents to cast their ballots:

Vote By Mail: Voters who prefer to receive a ballot in the mail must submit a formal request. This can be done via the county’s election website or by calling (813) 744-5900. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is 5 p.m. on May 14.

Early Voting: In-person early voting will be available at Plant City Hall, located at 302 W. Reynolds St. The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23.

Election Day: The runoff concludes on Election Day, Tuesday, May 26. Polls at City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Latimer noted that for those who have not used the mail-in or early voting options, this represents the final opportunity to participate.
