LAKELAND, Fla. – A routine traffic stop Sunday night near Lakeland turned into a “Buy One Get One” arrest for Deputy Ellerbe of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, leading to two individuals being taken into custody on a variety of charges.
At approximately 10:35 p.m. on June 22nd, a vehicle was pulled over at the intersection of Longfellow Boulevard and Main Street East. The stop quickly escalated as deputies discovered an outstanding warrant and illegal narcotics.

The passenger, identified as 44-year-old Andrea Comar of Lakeland, was found to have an active Polk County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine.
Comar, who is currently on probation with a 10:00 p.m. curfew, was reportedly cooperative and was taken into custody without incident. She was booked on her warrant and additionally charged with violation of probation.
The driver, 54-year-old Timothy Wayne Boyette of Lakeland, proved to be far less compliant. During the stop, deputies observed a baggie of methamphetamine “sitting on top of a pile of clothes directly behind Tim.” When ordered to exit the vehicle, Boyette allegedly refused.

Deputies then “provided him assistance which he reluctantly accepted” to remove him from the vehicle.
As a result of his resistance, Timothy Boyette faces a slew of charges including battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, resisting with violence, resisting without violence, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a vehicle for drug use.
Both Andrea Comar and Timothy Boyette are no strangers to law enforcement, having been described as “frequent guests at Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast,” a colloquial reference to the Polk County Jail.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office continues to crack down on drug-related offenses and ensure public safety within the community.
