 Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a working fire Monday afternoon on Lancelot Loop in Tampa.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a working fire Monday afternoon on Lancelot Loop in Tampa.

“Multiple calls came into our Emergency Dispatch Center at around 5:30 Monday from neighbors reporting a residence on fire with electricity flickering in the house,” said fire officials.

Engine 1 was the first unit on the scene, and confirmed a working fire coming from the rear of the building.

Crews quickly pulled a hose line to the back corner of the residence and knocked the fire down.

“Safety was a concern as there was a live electrical wire down just feet from the firefighting operations, but it was accounted for by crews on the scene.,” said officials.

Additional arriving crews performed primary and secondary searches.

There were no occupants in the house. There were no injuries to first responders or civilians and the cause of the fire was determined to be related to the downed power line.
