TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – The Tarpon Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a 16-year-old boy who has been missing since Thursday afternoon.
Carl Westley Griffin IV was last seen on June 11, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the area of S. Highland Avenue and E. Tarpon Avenue. Authorities currently classify him as a runaway juvenile.
Griffin is described as a white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black-and-white checkered long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, a black knit cap, and black-and-white Converse shoes. He was also carrying a backpack, which police noted is either camouflage or features a Dragonball Z design.
The police department is actively endeavoring to locate him. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Carl Westley Griffin IV is urged to contact Detective Kayla Hurley with the Tarpon Springs Police Department at (727) 937-6151.
