HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is inviting all Hillsborough County residents to celebrate Halloween with their district deputies in a fun and safe way.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s Halloween trick-or-treating event will be held in the form of a drive-thru. On Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., families are invited to visit their local HCSO district office to show off their costumes, wave hello, and receive goodie bags full of candy.
To ensure social distancing, families are asked to remain in their vehicles as deputies hand out goodie bags through the car windows.
“It’s been a challenging year for all of us, and the changes we’ve had to make to our lifestyles have been especially difficult for our children,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We want them to enjoy Halloween in a safe way that still allows them to wear their costumes, get treats, and spend quality time with their families.”
