SARASOTA, FL. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting The Florida Highway Patrol on a crash involving a bicyclist.
An unknown light-colored vehicle traveling northbound on N. Lockwood Ridge Rd. struck a bicyclist in the roadway.
The vehicle then continued northbound without stopping.
The rider of the bicycle was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The hit-and-run vehicle should have front-end damage.
