PASCO COUNTY, Fla-. – We dodged a bullet with Hurricane Laura here in Florida. The National Hurricane Center said Laura hit the coast of Louisiana with winds of 150 mph at 1 a.m. CDT near Cameron La., about 30 miles east of the Texas border. The NHC, said in an advisory Wednesday, that the storm surge would be “unsurvivable” and the damage “catastrophic.”
The storm has passed through Lake Charles Louisiana, and Mike’s Weather Page has caught the aftermath on camera.
