TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services will conduct aerial spraying across parts of Central Tampa early Friday morning to target adult mosquito populations.
Crews will apply Dibrom insecticide by helicopter between 3:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, 2026. The flight will operate at an altitude of 150 feet, distributing the treatment at a rate of 0.66 ounces per acre.
The targeted spray zone covers the following boundaries:
- North Boundary: Busch Boulevard
- South Boundary: Interstate 275
- East Boundary: North 29th Street
- West Boundary: Armenia Avenue
If weather conditions prevent the flight on Friday, officials have designated Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23, as alternate spray dates.
