ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A vacant home burned early Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg. Fire Investigators were on the scene to determine the cause.

At approximately 5:45 am at 1232 3rd Street N, fire crews responded to a structure fire in St. Petersburg.

Multiple 911 callers stated that a house was on fire. Crews found the front of the house to have heavy fire from the front of the house.

The building was vacant at the time of the fire. No injuries reported at this time.

“This is a 1900s wood-frame five room apartment. The fire was able to make it into three units. Crews were able to extinguish the fire before spreading to the rest of the building,” said Lt. Garth Swingle with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

Officials say the fire investigator was at the scene to start the investigation.
