TAMPA, Fla. – Sirens broke the silence in a Tampa neighborhood early Friday morning as firefighters rushed to stop a fierce blaze at a two-story home.

The response started at 4:17 a.m., when 911 dispatchers started receiving calls about a fire at 1907 S. 45th Street. When the first crews from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, they found heavy flames already shooting from the house, and the fire had spread to a nearby shed and a boat on the property.

Firefighters wasted no time. They quickly pulled hose lines to the structure and attacked the flames. Working fast, they managed to get the fire under control in just over 30 minutes.

Once the flames were out, crews searched the entire house and the yard to check for people. They confirmed the home was empty and that no one was inside during the fire. Officials also reported that no firefighters were hurt while battling the blaze.

Right now, it is unclear what sparked the fire. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause.
