TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battled a serious blaze early Tuesday morning after flames were spotted erupting from the roof of a local apartment building.

The scene unfolded just after 3:30 a.m. at a complex located at 3450 Palencia Drive. Dispatchers began receiving 911 calls reporting the fire, prompting a two-alarm response from emergency crews.

When the first units arrived, they found the two-story structure heavily involved, with active fire already venting through the roof. Firefighters immediately advanced hose lines into the building, launching an aggressive attack to keep the flames from spreading to neighboring units.

Despite the intensity of the fire, crews managed to bring the situation under control in less than 25 minutes.

Once the flames were suppressed, firefighters conducted a thorough search of the building. Officials confirmed that all residents had managed to evacuate safely before emergency teams arrived. No injuries were reported among civilians or first responders.

The Fire Investigations Unit remains on the scene this morning as they work to pinpoint exactly what sparked the blaze.
