Early Morning Shooting On Nebraska Avenue In Tampa Leaves One Dead

TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation following a fatal shooting in Tampa early Monday morning.

According to official reports, the HCSO 911 Dispatch Center received a call at 6:32 a.m. on February 2, 2026, regarding a shooting incident at the intersection of North Nebraska Avenue and 129th Avenue. Deputies arriving at the scene located an adult male with a gunshot wound.

The individual was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Preliminary findings from detectives suggest that the event was an isolated incident. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the deceased or information regarding potential suspects at this time.
