Parking Lot Dispute Escalates to Assault and Theft for Elderly Florida Woman
An 80-year-old Florida woman was recently arrested following a parking lot altercation at a Walmart in Apopka that escalated into a slap and the alleged theft of a cell phone.
Linda Montan Frenier faces charges of felony robbery by sudden snatching and misdemeanor battery after the incident on June 30.

According to Orange County court records, Frenier’s vehicle struck another car while she was backing out of a parking spot.
The victim stated that after she exited her car to exchange insurance information, Frenier began to curse at her and then allegedly slapped her in the face.

Following the slap, Frenier reportedly snatched the victim’s cell phone and threw it across the street.
A witness corroborated the victim’s account, and Frenier allegedly confessed to the acts after being arrested.
