‘Epstein Was A PIG’: Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy Delivers Blistering Assessment Of Disgraced Financier

Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) offered a blunt and forceful assessment of deceased financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling him a “pig” during an interview on CNN with host Kasie Hunt.

The Louisiana Republican was blunt when discussing Epstein’s crimes and the ongoing public and political debate over the release of related court records.

“Epstein was a pig, a P-I-G, pig,” Senator Kennedy said, adding that his constituents in Louisiana believe “this is no country for creepy old men.”

The Senator’s comments were made in the context of the push for the Department of Justice to release all files related to Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. Kennedy underscored that while he and his constituents agree that Epstein trafficked young women, the more critical question remains unanswered.

“My people want to know who else, if anyone, did Epstein traffic young women to,” Kennedy stated, insisting that the controversy will not subside until that question “is addressed and answered to the American people’s satisfaction.”

Kennedy also expressed his moral stance on the disclosure of documents, stating that as a “moral principle,” the Department of Justice ought to release the records.

Kennedy Backs File Release ‘As a Moral Principle’

When pressed on how he would vote on a bill to release the Epstein files, Senator Kennedy indicated his general support, grounding his position in morality.

He was initially cautious about committing to a specific version of the legislation, noting he couldn’t answer if he would vote for a bill identical to the House’s version, as he believed the Senate’s measure would not be identical.

However, when asked if he would vote “yes as a general matter” for a bill forcing the Department of Justice to release the files, Kennedy was clearer:

“As a general matter, I think I’ve said repeatedly I think they ought to,” he responded. “I don’t think this is going to go away and as a moral principle, I think they ought to release their records.”
