WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A convicted felon who escaped from a Kissimmee facility last month has been apprehended in Winter Haven.
35-year-old Erich P. Mueller escaped from The Transition House in Kissimmee on September 14th. He had been serving a five-year sentence for various charges, including firearm possession, drug possession, and grand theft auto.

On October 17th, Winter Haven Police received a tip that Mueller was hiding at a residence on 6th Street SE. Detectives conducted surveillance and spotted Mueller leaving the residence on foot. He was arrested on an active warrant for escape.
Mueller’s girlfriend, 32-year-old Alexandria J. Orrick, who lived at the residence, was also arrested and charged with harboring an escaped prisoner. She admitted to knowing about Mueller’s escape and allowing him to stay at her home without notifying authorities.

Both Mueller and Orrick were booked into the Polk County Jail.
