Eventbrite Boots Notice From Conservative Student Group Asking “What Is A Woman?”

Liberals have yet to answer the question raised by conservative commentator Matt Walsh: “What is a Woman?”

Liberals have yet to answer the question raised by conservative commentator Matt Walsh: “What is a Woman?”

Now, they don’t want anyone to even hear the question Walsh posed in his documentary, at least in one part of Kentucky.

According to The Blaze, the social media scheduling site Eventbrite blocked a notice promoting a showing of the movie that was sponsored by the Western Kentucky University chapter of Turning Point USA, a conservative student group.

TPUSA still intended to show the film, saying on Twitter, “Eventbrite removed our event to watch @MattWalshBlog ‘What is a Woman’. The event will still be happening. Show up and let’s show Eventbrite that their censorship will not stop us.”

The watch party is schooled for Sept. 13. In its post, Eventbrite declared that Walsh’s movie was “hate speech.”

“We encourage our organizers to express their views and gather for a chosen purpose as long as it’s done in a way that doesn’t violate our Legal Terms,” Eventbrite told the TPUSA group.

“We do not permit events, content, or creators that promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself. In this instance, we have determined that your event expresses views that are in violation of our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service and is therefore not permitted on the Eventbrite platform. As a result, your event listing has been removed,” Eventbrite added.

“While you may continue to use Eventbrite for other events, if we become aware of any future event that violates our policies, we will remove it. Please note that severe or repeated violations of our policies could result in your account being terminated.”

The company then noted, “We appreciate your understanding and thank you in advance for your cooperation.”

In other words, do as we say or you get the boot.

Walsh, always one to get the last word, noted something odd on Eventbrite, despite its high-minded rhetoric about values and community guidelines.

“So @eventbrite has banned screening events for What Is A Woman and yet will happily provide a platform for ‘all ages’ drag shows,” Walsh tweeted.

“Conservatives should keep this in mind before giving this company their business. They’ve made their priorities clear.”
