Authorities in Arizona have shifted their focus to a specific stretch of rugged terrain as the search for Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, enters its twelfth day. The investigation took a potential turn on Wednesday when search teams recovered a single black glove approximately 1.5 miles from her home.

The discovery, first reported by the New York Post, has become a point of interest for investigators. Officials are currently working to determine if the item matches a glove seen on doorbell camera footage recorded the night Nancy Guthrie vanished.

While the forensic link hasn’t been officially confirmed, the proximity of the find to her residence has led to an intensification of the ground search in that immediate area.

The scale of the investigation has grown significantly over the past two weeks. Law enforcement agencies report they have been inundated with public interest, receiving more than 18,000 tips from across the country.

A dedicated task force is now tasked with the massive job of vetting these leads, categorizing them by priority, and following up on potential sightings or suspicious activity.

Despite the high-profile nature of the case, police have remained tight-lipped about specific suspects or theories regarding the disappearance.
