WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Families looking to celebrate America’s 250th birthday have a massive new option on the calendar. LEGOLAND Florida Resort has officially announced the return of its “Red, White & BOOM!” celebration for one night only on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The park is stretching its regular operating hours, staying open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., to pack the day with patriotic activities, character meet-and-greets, and an upgraded nighttime finale.
The undisputed highlight of the event is an expanded 12-minute fireworks spectacular over Lake Eloise, which park officials state is their largest July 4th display to date. To give the show a signature twist, the resort is bringing back its custom viewing glasses.
Distributed to visitors starting at 7:45 p.m., these glasses use special lenses to alter the light, making every firework explosion look like a cascade of colorful LEGO bricks. The evening entertainment begins well before dark, with a high-energy DJ dance party kicking off at 6 p.m. to keep families moving until the first shells launch.
During the daytime hours, guests can participate in collaborative experiences, including a massive hands-on station where visitors work together to construct a giant American flag out of standard LEGO pieces. The day’s admission also covers the park’s usual lineup of more than 50 rides and attractions, including the recently opened indoor, space-themed Galacticoaster located inside the LEGO Galaxy section.
For families wanting to skip the scramble for a prime viewing spot on the grass, the park is offering an optional VIP Fireworks Seating Package. For an extra $30 plus tax per person on top of regular park admission, the upgrade grants access to reserved seating inside the South Ski Stadium. The package also includes a dedicated VIP check-in with an escort to the seats, an exclusive lanyard, a commemorative Pop Badge keepsake, and a bottle of water. Because of space constraints at the stadium, the park is capping this upgrade at just 120 total guests and recommends booking well in advance.
Holiday weekend visitors will also get a chance to experience the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience, an interactive pop-up running at the resort through July 19. This temporary attraction features soccer-inspired LEGO models, hands-on building challenges, and themed photo backdrops timed with the global tournament. Single-day theme park tickets are currently being offered at a promotional starting price of $69 for a limited time.
For families turning the holiday into a longer vacation, the resort is tying the event into perks at its three on-site properties: the LEGOLAND Hotel, Pirate Island Hotel, and LEGOLAND Beach Retreat.
Starting July 1, just ahead of the holiday, all guests staying at the LEGOLAND Hotel and Pirate Island Hotel—along with Elite Annual Passholders—will get 30 minutes of exclusive early access to the SEA LIFE Florida Aquarium, the main LEGO Shop, and The LEGOLAND Coffee Co. to beat the standard morning crowds.
