Facebook Blocks Post By Republican Lawmakers Who Criticize Biden’s Giveaway For College Loans

House Republicans on Wednesday offered a retort to President Joe Biden’s taxpayer-funded giveaway to fiscally challenged college grads who can’t repay their debts.

House Republicans on Wednesday offered a retort to President Joe Biden’s taxpayer-funded giveaway to fiscally challenged college grads who can’t repay their debts.

And Facebook was not pleased.

The Republican side of the House Judiciary Committee offered an 11-word rebuttal to Biden’s plan to cancel $10,000 in federal student loan debt for borrowers who make less than $125,000 a year or couples earning less than $250,000 a year, and up to $20,000 for federal Pell Grant recipients in those income brackets.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Biden’s gift to college students or grads would cost more than $300 billion over the next 10 years, and further boost America’s already $1 trillion annual budget deficit.

In response, GOP lawmakers on the Judiciary Committee posted on Facebook: “If you take out a loan, you pay it back. Period.”

Facebook then flagged the post.

“Your post goes against our community standards, so only you can see it,” the tech giant replied to the account.

The Republican account took to Twitter to post screenshots of Facebook’s admonishment.

“WOW: @facebook says our post about paying back loans violates their ‘community standards.’ Big Tech’s at it again,” the Republicans said.
