Police in Florida have arrested two men following a morning bank robbery. James Bryant, 54, faces charges of robbery and grand theft, while 43-year-old Brandon Dodson is charged with being an accessory after the fact to armed robbery and grand theft.
The robbery occurred just before 9 a.m. on June 22 at the Regions Bank located at 2266 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee. According to investigators, Bryant arrived at the scene in a vehicle carrying two other people. He walked inside the building, approached the counter, and handed the teller a note demanding cash. Bryant then left the bank with just over $3,000.
Detectives quickly identified Bryant as a suspect during their investigation. When officers located and arrested him, they found him in possession of more than $900 in cash—consisting primarily of large-denomination bills—along with additional evidence linking him to the crime.
Further investigation led police to Dodson. Detectives determined that Dodson drove Bryant to and from the bank and later accepted a portion of the stolen money.
In a statement released after the arrests, the department said, “This case is a testament to TPD’s ongoing commitment to seeking justice, the speed of real-time intelligence sharing, and the dedication of the men and women of TPD.”
