TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department (TPD) is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred late Sunday night leaving one juvenile dead and another critically injured.
The collision happened just after 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of E 93rd Avenue and N 20th Street.
According to TPD investigators, a four-wheeler with two male juveniles on it failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a pickup truck.
- A 14-year-old male on the four-wheeler was pronounced deceased at the scene.
- A 15-year-old male, also on the four-wheeler, was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 17-year-old male, remained at the scene following the crash and is cooperating fully with investigators.
Detectives are actively working to determine all the factors that led to the tragic collision.
The Tampa Police Department is urging anyone who has information or video footage related to this incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
