ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A crash claimed the life of a bicyclist early Tuesday morning at a St. Petersburg intersection.
The collision occurred at 7:12 a.m. at 22nd Avenue North and 49th Street North. St. Petersburg Police confirmed that an adult female riding an e-bike was struck by a vehicle and died from her injuries. Her name has not yet been released.
Investigators say the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The investigation is active, and officials expect to release more details as they become available.
