Fatal Collision In St. Petersburg Claims Two Lives

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A tragic accident in St. Petersburg resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left another seriously injured. The collision occurred on Tuesday at 10:47 pm at 46th Avenue North and Park Street North.

A Subaru Impreza, driven by a 24-year-old St. Petersburg woman, failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling westbound on 46th Avenue North. The vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a 49-year-old Mary Esther man.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old passenger in the Subaru sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Authorities are currently investigating the crash.

Correction: FHP’s original report stated a St. Petersburg man was killed; however, they have updated TFP, and the St. Petersburg victim was a woman.
