PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a fatal crash along the northbound lanes of US-19, just north of Curlew Road, involving a Nissan sedan and a Dairy truck that occurred at 5:20 AM.
Troopers say the driver of the sedan, a 23-year-old Holiday man, was transported to a local hospital but later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
According to troopers, the dairy truck was driving northbound on US-19 in the center lane, north of Curlew Road.
Troopers say the Holiday man, following behind the dairy truck, overtook and collided with the rear of the trailer being towed.
