MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A deadly car accident occurred on County Road 314 on Saturday evening, claiming the life of one person and injuring three others.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 7:30 pm, a Pennsylvania woman was driving westbound on CR 314 when she attempted to pass another vehicle by crossing over a double yellow line. This reckless maneuver resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck suffered fatal injuries. A passenger in the same vehicle, as well as both occupants of the other vehicle, sustained serious injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.
