TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police officers are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday night on the 3000 block of W Spruce Street. Authorities arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a person shot inside a residence.
Upon arrival, they located a man in his mid-30s who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the location.
Preliminary findings from detectives suggest the incident began as a verbal altercation involving a group of individuals who were known to one another.

Investigators are currently interviewing those present to determine the exact circumstances of the argument and the level of involvement of each party. A firearm was recovered by police at the scene.
Officials stated that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the general public. No arrests have been announced at this time, and the identity of the deceased is being withheld.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to process evidence and finalize the sequence of events.
