PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 64-year-old Tampa man was killed early Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 275, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:35 a.m. along the southbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge, near Milepost 35.
State troopers reported that the Tampa man was operating a Honda motorcycle southbound in the outside center lane. At the same time, a Kia Soul, driven by a 48-year-old woman from Lakewood Ranch, was traveling southbound in the adjacent outside lane.

According to investigators, the motorcycle changed lanes directly into the path of the Kia Soul, resulting in a collision.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol has not released any further details regarding the condition of the Kia driver or whether any charges are pending as the investigation continues.
