Fatal Fire in Pinellas Park Early Tuesday Morning

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – An early morning fire in Pinellas Park claimed the life of one person.

On Tuesday, morning at approximately 2:30 AM, the Pinellas Park Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire with a confirmed fatality.

Pinellas Park Fire Department was first to arrive on the scene and observed a fifth-wheel trailer at Sunny Rest Trailer Park fully involved. The Pinellas Park Police Department assisted in the evacuation of nearby residents.

The Pinellas Park Fire Department along with assisting agencies St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and Lealman Fire District were able to extinguish the fire. The units to the north and south of the trailer received minor damage. Three residents were displaced from their homes and the individuals received assistance from the American Red Cross.

Pinellas Park Fire Department contacted the State Fire Marshal and due to an ongoing investigation, the information and cause of the fatality and cause of the fire are currently under an active investigation.
