Fatal Shooting On Caliente Drive In Bloomingdale Sparks HCSO Investigation

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening in the Bloomingdale area.

HCSO’s 911 Dispatch Center received a report of gunfire at 7:11 p.m. on the 700 block of Caliente Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered an adult male with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Emergency personnel transported the man to a nearby hospital, where medical staff later pronounced him deceased.

Crime scene investigators and detectives remained on-site for several hours to process evidence and speak with neighbors. No information regarding a suspect or a potential motive has been released at this time.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the case is classified as an active, ongoing investigation. This story will be updated.
