Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of Inverness Man in Citrus County

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A single-vehicle crash on Thursday evening claimed the life of an Inverness man after his truck veered off the road and struck a tree.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident occurred at approximately 8:13 PM, on East Gospel Island Trail in Citrus County.

The FHP report states that a 34-year-old Inverness man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on East Gospel Island Trail. East of the intersection with Pritchard Island Road, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

The truck departed the roadway and subsequently collided with a tree.

The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
