Feds Clear Rudy Giuliani In Foreign Lobbying Probe Involving Hunter Biden

The left’s war on Team Trump has fizzled again.

According to the New York Post, federal prosecutors announced Monday — conveniently offered after last week’s elections — that they will not seek charges against former President Donald Trump’s trusted adviser Rudy Giuliani after a grand jury refused to hand up an indictment.

As The Free Press reported in April 2021, FBI agents raided Giuliani’s apartment on suspicion that he violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The 1938 law requires people who conduct politics on behalf of foreign interests, such as lobbying federal agencies on policies, to identify those interests and how much they are paid.

In Giuliani’s case, as Giuliani was conducting a private investigation into Hunter Biden’s dubious involvement with a Ukrainian energy company, the former New York City mayor allegedly contacted Yuri Lutsenko, Ukraine’s former chief prosecutor, to meet with then-Attorney General Bill Barr.

Lutsenko said Giuliani hoped the meeting would open an avenue into investigating whether Biden helped launder some of $7 billion that former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych reportedly stole as fled the country after the 2014 revolution.

The Post reported that the feds seized 18 electronic devices belonging to Giuliani as part of the probe.

On Monday, the Post reported that prosecutors informed federal Judge Paul Oetken in court documents that “the grand jury investigation that led to the issuance of the above-referenced warrants has concluded, and that based on information currently available to the Government, criminal charges are not forthcoming.”

On Twitter, Giuliani claimed “complete & total vindication.”

“It’s true that a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich,” Giuliani, the former U.S. attorney in New York City, said during a live feed of his response to the government’s decision.

“I’m not even a ham sandwich.”
