WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is actively seeking the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Wesley Chapel man over the weekend. The incident occurred on Boyette Road Sunday evening.
The crash, which took place north of Vienna Woods Lane, occurred around 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
According to FHP, a 39-year-old Wesley Chapel man was walking along the southbound edge of Boyette Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound.
The vehicle in question is described as possibly a Toyota 4Runner or a similar type SUV. Following the collision, the driver immediately fled the scene.
Tragically, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was discovered deceased by a passerby at approximately 7:00 AM on the morning of Monday, November 17.
The FHP is appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification of the driver or the vehicle involved in this fatal incident.
“Please see the attached photos of the suspect and suspect vehicle,” the FHP release stated, urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or seen a vehicle matching the description with front-end damage to come forward.
