Emergency Services Restored After 20-Minute Interruption; Officials Reaching Out to Callers Affected by the Disruption.
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A damaged fiber connection led to a temporary disruption of 911 services in Pasco County this morning, with officials reporting a brief outage that lasted approximately 20 minutes. The Pasco County 911 Center has since confirmed that all systems are fully restored and operational, with emergency calls being handled as usual.
According to a statement released by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the interruption was caused by physical damage to a fiber optic cable, which serves as a critical link for the county’s emergency call system.

“We are making every attempt to connect with everyone who called in during that time,” a representative stated.
The county said that the 911 Center is now fully functional and is urging residents to use the service for all emergencies. For non-emergency inquiries, the public is advised to call 727-847-8102.
