Fiery Crash Claims Life Of Young Davenport Woman On Osceola Polk Line Road

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday, February 6, leaving one person dead. The incident took place on Osceola Polk Line Road, just east of Heritage Pass.

According to the official crash report, a 20-year-old woman from Davenport was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion westbound at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the sedan, departed the roadway to the left, and struck a tree. Upon impact, the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that the next of kin has been notified. At this time, it is unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not released further details as the investigation into the exact cause of the crash remains ongoing.
