PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A pre-dawn single-vehicle accident turned fatal on Monday morning after an SUV struck multiple obstacles and burst into flames in Pasco County.
According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on April 13, 2026, at approximately 4:49 AM.
Investigators determined that an unidentified adult male was behind the wheel of a Toyota RAV4, traveling northbound on Blanton Road.

As the driver approached an area just south of Parrish Grove Road, he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle drifted onto the shoulder before crashing through a fence and colliding with two trees.
The force of the impact triggered a severe fire that quickly consumed the vehicle. Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim pending identification and notification of next of kin.
