ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Drivers who use the eastbound Gandy Boulevard (SR 694) entrance ramp onto southbound I-275 should prepare for nightly detours beginning this Sunday.
The ramp is scheduled to be closed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night from Sunday, November 2, through Thursday, November 6.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow for ramp construction work, which is part of the ongoing I-275 widening project in the area.
Traffic will be directed along a signed detour:
- Continue east on Gandy Boulevard.
- Exit to 94th Avenue N / 16th Street N.
- Turn left onto 94th Avenue N and continue under Gandy Boulevard.
- Turn left at 16th Street N and use the entrance ramp onto westbound Gandy Boulevard.
- Continue west and use the loop entrance ramp to access southbound I-275.
Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time if driving during these late-night hours. Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather or other unexpected conditions.
