Five Tampa And Orlando-Area Gang Members Face Life Behind Bars After Federal Guilty Pleas

TAMPA, Fla. — Five individuals from the Tampa and Orlando areas face maximum penalties of life in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from their involvement in a violent street gang known as Alexander Park, or “AP.”

United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced that Mohamed Jaber (33, Tampa), Irving Bruzon (28, Tampa), Christian Andujar (28, Tampa), Kyle Miller (34, Orlando), and Julissa Collazo (29, Tampa) have each pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana.

In addition to the drug and racketeering charges, several members pleaded guilty to further violent and financial crimes. Andujar and Bruzon both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering and financial institution fraud. Andujar’s plea included two separate counts of the murder conspiracy charge. Jaber also pleaded guilty to an additional count of financial institution fraud. Sentencing dates have not yet been scheduled.

Court documents and hearing records reveal that the Alexander Park enterprise operated by distributing large quantities of marijuana and systematically robbing rival drug dealers of their product and cash. The group used acts of violence to protect their operations, maintain their street credibility, and elevate the status of members within the organization. Furthermore, members used fraudulent employment and income information to acquire high-end vehicles, some of which were subsequently used to commit crimes.

The investigation uncovered multiple specific plots of violence. Between January 2020 and July 2021, Andujar and Gardner conspired to murder a rival gang member. Later, in April 2023, Andujar, Bruzon, Gardner, and an unidentified fourth co-conspirator plotted to kill another individual who had angered the group. That victim was shot 17 times while sleeping inside a vehicle and died from the injuries.

The multi-agency investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Tampa Police Department, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and the Shelby Township Police Department in Michigan.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Samantha Newman and Brooke Padgett, while Assistant United States Attorney Suzanne Nebesky is overseeing the asset forfeiture proceedings.
