A Florida woman has been arrested after investigators say she ripped through a Walmart on an electric shopping cart, damaged merchandise, struck an employee, and cursed out when staff tried to get her to leave.

According to an arrest report, Asia Sharee McClendon, 29, of St. Petersburg, entered a Largo Walmart on an electric shopping cart around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say she began driving the electric buggy into the displays, knocking merchandise off the shelves.

When employees asked her to leave, police said she began cursing at the staff members.

According to police, a staff member followed McClendon around the store at a distance while on the phone with the cops.

Investigators say McClendon continued to attack a Walmart staff member verbally. Police said as the pair reached the clothing section, McClendon came toward the staff member and struck the victim in the face using the palm of her hand.

According to the arrest affidavit, McClendon again lunged at the victim and pushed him.

McClendon was charged with battery and disorderly conduct and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
