An alligator broke into a Florida family’s garage and set about drinking the homeowner’s Diet Cokes, according to Wink News.
Karyn and Jamie Dobson were at home when they heard a “wicked” crash in their garage, on April 29th.
When they opened the garage door, the alligator greeted them, who had already made quite a mess.
“I open the garage door about a quarter way, peek my head in, and there’s the alligator,” said Jamie to Wink News. “Quickly close the door, ‘Karyn, we have an alligator in our garage,’ something from the midwest I really haven’t experienced before.”
According to the news outlet, the Dobsons are from Chicago, so a gator in the garage is definitely a first.
“There was Diet Coke spewing everywhere, because the gator was interested, tore open the box, had a few cans,” said Karyn. “Probably thought it was beer, maybe, I don’t know.”
Video provided to Wink shows the animal hissing and backing into a corner, looking ready to pounce, as a local trapper arrives at the messy, can-strewn scene.
The gator was reportedly relocated safely.
